Candle. Both. Ends.
So, without going into any detail. I’ve hit a wall. Not with my car or anything, but with a million other things. There’s burning the candle at both ends, and then there’s burning the candle with a volcano. I’m doing the latter at the moment in various aspects of my life and to be honest, I could really use a nap, or some coffee, or both.
I still need to catch up with my trip from Ireland. I stared a journal when I was there, but never had the downtime to spend with it. For a majority of the trip I was sick. Not go-to-the-doctor sick, just sick enough to feel like crud and worn out pretty much all the time. There was one night on Innis Mor, we had just had a fantastic guided tour of the island, thanks to John our driver and we were walking around the port when my body just said, “I’m done.”
I headed back to the hostel and passed out for about 2 hours. Here I was, in one of the prettiest places I’d ever been with some amazing folks taking the same life journey. My heart was singing, my eyes were wide open, my soul was soaring, but my physical body was having none of it.
That’s where I am today. I need a nap… of maybe I need to go back to Ireland. It’s been a month since I’ve seen a castle. I mean, that’s probably all it is. Lack-of-castle-itis.
